Brisbane and Sydney, Australia — Two of the travel industry’s most innovative companies have come together to help drive virtual payment processing globally for Australia’s most recognised travel brand.

Flight Centre Travel Group (ASX: FLT) has selected Troovo Technologies as its global provider for automation of B2B payments. Troovo Payments, the world’s only digital and virtual payment processing platform powered by Robotic Process Automation (RPA), will integrate its robotic engine to enable “invisible payments” across all Group systems and platforms. This will create a highly secure, completely automated and totally touch-free solution for payments made to FLT’s suppliers.

“Flight Centre Travel Group continues to focus on innovation, efficiency and next-generation technology to drive continuous growth and simplify processes,” said Richard Humphreys, FLT’s global treasurer. “Troovo gives us flexibility and scalability on a global basis and we are really excited to be working with Troovo to use its unique and innovative RPA solution to achieve our objectives for efficiency, cost-savings and revenue optimisation.”

“Flight Centre Travel Group has always pushed the envelope around new ways of thinking about its business and giving new technology a go, and we are thrilled to partner with the company to help it achieve its payment objectives,” said Troovo Co-Founder and CEO Kurt Knackstedt. “Troovo’s world-first RPA capabilities for virtual payments, teamed up with one of the world’s most innovative travel brands, demonstrates Australian ingenuity at its best and will set the standard for how B2B payments should be done by any organisation looking to optimise its payment capabilities”.

The collaboration will see a number of Flight Centre Travel Group business units throughout the globe deploying Troovo within their operational and payment process flows over the coming months, with an aim to fully deploy a “global payment switch” within the Group which will see supplier payments be routed through and processed by Troovo throughout 2020 and beyond.
